Terms of Service

The plain-English rules for using Amicably — what our document preparation service does and doesn’t do, what it costs, our refund policy, and your responsibilities.

Effective date: July 23, 2026

What Amicably is (and isn't)

Amicably ("we," "us") is a Florida registered legal document preparation service. For a flat fee, we prepare the official Florida Supreme Court–approved documents for an uncontested (agreed) divorce based on the information you and your spouse provide, arrange remote online notarization, and e-file with the Clerk of Court at your direction.

We are not a law firm. We are not attorneys, we cannot give legal advice, we cannot recommend what terms you should agree to, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using this service. If you need legal advice, or your case is contested, you should consult a licensed Florida attorney.

By using splitamicably.ai or purchasing our service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use the service

How the service works

  1. You complete a free eligibility check and, if you qualify, purchase the service.
  2. You and your spouse each answer a guided questionnaire through your own private, secure link.
  3. A document specialist prepares your complete Florida court packet from your answers and reviews every page.
  4. You both sign with remote online notarization.
  5. We prepare your complete, ready-to-file packet, guide you step by step as you file it with the Clerk of Court in your filing county, and help you track the remaining steps through the final hearing or judgment.

Timelines depend on the court: Florida imposes a 20-day minimum waiting period after filing, and most amicable cases finish in about 4 to 8 weeks. We cannot control or guarantee court processing times.

Your responsibilities

Fees and payment

Our document preparation service is a flat $99, paid in full, which covers preparation of your complete Florida packet, specialist review, and remote online notarization. The court's filing fee (~$408) is separate and paid to the Clerk of Court, and optional extras the court may require in your county (such as certified copies) are not included. Prices are shown before checkout; by purchasing you authorize the charge.

Refund policy

To request a refund, email support@splitamicably.ai. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

If your case becomes contested

If it turns out you and your spouse do not actually agree — before or during document preparation — the service isn't the right fit. We'll stop work, refund you according to the refund policy above, and recommend you consult a Florida family-law attorney. We may also decline or discontinue service where the case involves circumstances we cannot properly serve, such as a genuine dispute, inability to locate a spouse, or domestic violence, with a refund per the policy above.

No legal advice, no guaranteed outcome

Everything on this website — guides, calculators, FAQs, and comparisons — is general information about Florida procedure, not legal advice, and may not reflect the most current law. Calculators produce planning estimates, not court determinations. The judge assigned to your case has final authority over your divorce; we cannot guarantee that a court will accept any particular filing or enter any particular judgment, although we correct and re-prepare rejected paperwork that we prepared.

Our content

The website, guides, tools, and our questionnaire flow are owned by Amicably and protected by copyright. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The Florida Supreme Court–approved forms themselves are public documents; what you pay us for is the service of preparing them correctly for your case.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for changes affecting active cases, notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
