Who we are
Amicably ("we," "us") is a Florida registered legal document preparation service operating at splitamicably.ai. We prepare official Florida court documents for uncontested divorces. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
Amicably is a brand owned by ORBYT GROUP LTD, of 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF. ORBYT GROUP LTD trades as OrynLabs. That company operates this service and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Divorce is personal — we've tried to write this the way we'd want it explained to us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you check eligibility, create a case, or contact support.
- Case questionnaire answers — the information needed to prepare Florida divorce documents. This is sensitive by nature: it can include details about your marriage, finances, property, debts, income, and minor children. Each spouse answers through their own private, secure link, and one spouse's answers are not shown to the other except as they appear in the final court documents.
- Payment information — payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of your payment and limited billing details; we do not store your full card number.
- Communications — emails and messages you exchange with your document specialist or our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies & analytics).
- Session replay — we use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site, which can include recordings of page interactions. Text you type into form fields is masked in these recordings.
How we use your information
- To prepare your Florida divorce documents and provide the service you purchased — this is the core use.
- To notarize, e-file, and track your case with the court, at your direction.
- To communicate with you about your case, respond to support requests, and send service updates.
- To process payments and refunds.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website, including analytics and measuring the effectiveness of our advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use the contents of your case questionnaire for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers — companies that host our website and data, process payments, provide analytics (Google, PostHog), deliver email, and provide remote online notarization. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- The court — when your documents are filed with the Clerk of Court in your filing county, the information in them goes to the court. Court filings become part of a court record, which may be public subject to Florida court rules.
- Your spouse — only the information that appears in the joint court documents you both sign; not your private questionnaire session itself.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer with the business, subject to this policy.
We never sell your personal information, and we don't share your case details with data brokers or advertisers.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for the site to function, to remember your progress, and to understand usage:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — anonymous-by-default usage statistics and ad conversion measurement.
- PostHog (EU-hosted) — product analytics and session replay with form inputs masked.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your case information for as long as your case is active and afterward for as long as reasonably needed to provide copies of your documents, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time (see Your choices and rights); we may retain what the law requires us to keep.
How we protect it
Your information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere), access to case data is limited to the specialists working on your case, and each spouse's questionnaire runs through a private link. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we treat your case data with the sensitivity divorce deserves.
Your choices and rights
- Access and copies — ask us what information we hold about you, or request copies of your prepared documents.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information (before filing, your specialist does this as part of the service).
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information. We'll honor it except where we're legally required to retain records.
- Marketing opt-out — unsubscribe links are in every marketing email; service emails about your active case will still be sent.
To exercise any of these, email us at support@splitamicably.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, including Florida law; we honor verified requests regardless of which statute applies.
Children
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, except the information about minor children that Florida law requires in divorce paperwork (parenting plans and child support worksheets), which parents provide themselves.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes affecting active cases, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
